EN 13600-2013 pdf download.Copper and copper alloys-Seamless copper tubes for electrical purposes.
6.5.5.3 StraIghtness
TEes shall conform to the tcerances given in Table 11.
6.6 Mass tolerances
The mass of a coneigrwnent shell conform to the blowing mass tolerances:
— strght lengths ± 10 %:
— levelwoundco*s:j20%.
6.7 Surface condition
The products shari be clean and free from irunous defects. whCh shall be specified by agreement between the purchaser and the supplier at Itie time of enquly and order. A supedmial him of residual bjbrlcail Is normally present on cold &awn products and is permiss*$e unless otherwise specified.
It is perrnissle for annealed tubes to have a superfOal, dun. Iridescent oxide film on both the internal and external surfaces.
Discontinuous rregtderlties on the external and witemal surfaces of the tubes we permitted, W they are within the dimensional tolerances,
Speoal reqLarements. e.g. degroasing. shal be agreed between the purchaser and the supplier (see C’ause 5 list entry i))
7 Sampling
7.1 General
When required. (eg if necessary in accordance with specified procedures of a supplier’s quality management system, or when the purchaser requests inspection documents with test results, or for use in cases of spute). an inspection lot sh be sampled in accordance with 7.2 and 7.3.
7.2 Analysis
The sampling rate shall be in accordance with Table 12. A test sample, depending on the analytical technue to be employed, sh be prepared from each sampling unit and used for the determinabon of the composition
When preparing the test sample. care should be taken to avoid contaminating or overheating Carbide tipped tools are recommended: steel tools. if used, should be made of magnetic material to assist in the subsequent removal of extraneous won. lithe test samples are In finely divided form (eg. drilbngs, mdlmgs), they should be treated carefully with a strong magnet to remove any particles of Won introduced during preparation
In cases of dispute concerning the results of analysis. the ui procedure given in ISO 18112 should be followed
Results may be used from analyses carried out at an earlier stage of maiiufactunng the product. e.g. at the casting stage, if the matenal identity maintained and if the quality management system of the manufacturer certified. e.g. as conforming to EN ISO 9001.
7.3 MechanIcal and electrical tests
The sampling rate shall be in accordance with Table 12. Sampllng units shall be selected from the finished products. The test samples shall be cut from the sam*ng units. Test samples, and lest pieces prepared tram them. shall not be subec1ed to any fther treatment, other than any machining operations necessy in the preparation of the test pieces
8 Test methods
8.1 Analysis
Analysis shall be carried out on the test pieces, or test porbons. prepared from the test samples obtained In accordance with 72. Exce in cases of dispute, the ana1cal methods used shall be chemical or spectrographic according to ISO standards in force In cases of dispute. chemical methods of analysis shall be used. For expression of results, the rounding rules given m 8.7 shall be used
8.2 Tensile test
The tens4le properties shall be determined In accordance with EN ISO 6892.1 on the test peces obtained In accordance with 7.3.
8.3 Hardness test
Hardness shall be determined on test pieces prepared from the test samples obtained in accordance with 73. The test shall be caned out in accordance with either EN ISO 6506-1 or EN ISO 6507-1 and the wnpressiorvlndenlation made on the outside surface, unless otherwise agreed.
The electrical resistivity shall be determined by diect measurement either at 20 C ± I C or at another temperature, when the resuft shall be corrected to the equivalent vakie at 20 C. on the product In the as delivered condition
8.5 Hydrogen embrittlement test
Ttes in the copper gredes listed in 6.4 shall be subectecl to the hydrogen e,Ttrltllement test. which shal be carried out in accordance with EN ISO 2626
Test pieces shal be of conveniet dimensions, but machined test pieces shall retein some pail of the original surface to be on the outside of the bend. Any edges shall be rounded and smoothed.
After heating the test pieces In hydrogen. as descritied in EN ISO 2626. they shall be subjected to the close bend test. The bend test shall be carned out either
a) on a strip cut from a tube. In accordance with EN ISO 7438: or
b) on a tube in full section, in accordance with EN ISO 8491
8.6 Retests
if there is a failure of one, or more than one, of the tests in 8.1 to 8.5. two test samptes from the same inspection lot shall be permitted to be selected for retesling the failed p’opertyOes). One of these test samples shall be taken from the same sampling unit as that from which the onginal failed test piece was taken, unless that sampling unit is no longer available, or has been withdrawn by the supplier
If the test pieces from both test samples pass the appropnate test(s), then the inspection lot represented shall be deemed to conform to the particular requirement(s) of this standard. If a test piece falls a test, the Inspection lot represented shall be deemed riot to conform to this standard.
8.7 Rounding of results
For the purpose of deterrnirw’ig conformity to the hmits specified in this standard, an obsened or a calculated value obtained from a test shall be rounded In accordance with the following procedure, which Is based t4on the guidance given m ISO 80000-12009, Annex B. It shall be rounded in one step to di same number of figures used to express the specified limit in this European Standard. Except for tensile strength and 02 % proof strength. the rounding interval shall be 10 N/mm2 1) and for elongation the value shall be rounded to the nearestl%
The blowing rules shall be used for rounding:
a) lithe figure immediately after the last figure to be retained is less than five, the last figure to be retained shall be kept unchanged;EN 13600-2013 pdf download.
