3 Definitions
For the pmposes of this European Standard, the (leflnhLioIv4 given in prEN 12519 and PrEN 12216 apply.
4 Requirements
Any glass infill In the test specrnlen shall be of bullet resung glass conforming to the appropriate class of prEN 1OCi in accordance with Tables 1 and 2. If the test specimen contains a higher class level of glass. this must be stated m the test report and test report stmnnaxy.

5 Classification
The classes FBI to Ff17 given in Table I are in order of hncreasmg resistance to perforation. Class Fill represent_s the lowest bullet resistance, and (‘lass Ff17 the highest e.g. Ff14 includes Ff13, Ff12, Ff11 and where neeessaiy the testing instittitc shall conduct aklitional tests in the lower classes to confirm this.
Test .specimen.s which fail to meet class FBI cannot be (lescribed as offering L)Ullet resistance.
Results of the tests shall be qualilied by the addition of an or ‘NS suffix according to (1w presence or al)serIce of SpliriterN.

Countries may 1mw threats from anununflion of other types and ealibres and may require tests to be caned out with these. Thble A. 1 indicates some of these types and calibres of anununition, together with criteria for mleq)nting the test results.
