GB 8410-94 specifies the horizontal flammability requirement and test method for trim materials used in the cab and occupant compartments of motor vehicles. This standard applies to inspecting the horizontal flammability of interior trim materials of motor vehicles, such as passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, trucks and buses.
This standard does not apply to evaluating all the real flammabilities of interior materials used in motor vehicles for there exist many differences between the actual situations of the interior trimmings for various kinds of motor vehicles, such as the location, the way for arrangement conditions for use, fire sources, etc and the test conditions specified in this standard.
