A typical, multiple-use size specification for TDF that currently is fed to many of the power units, alluded to in the overview as 2 in. (5.08 cm) minus, is identified in Table 3. Applications in lime kilns are end product quality specific.

Most requests have been limited to the initial air quality permit addendum phase for a combustion unit to include TDF as a normally permitted fuel.Evolving permit compliance strategies may increase the frequency of fuel analysis. Evolving tire chemistry also may increase the frequency of analysis. Several methods of fuelanalysis exist.
