1.0 SCOPE
The purpose of this Recommended Practice is to provide a guideline for the color of cables used in headend cabling.
2.0 GENERAL COMMENTS
The adoption of specific colors of cables for the numerous types of signals present in the cabling in cable headends can help reduce the time required to troubleshoot problems or add additional services. The colors specified in this document were the most popular colors used by participating cable operators, and can be used as guidance for any operator doing a new or extensively revised installation.
