3 RequIrements
3.1 Configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass
The configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass shall conform to Figure 1 and Table 2.
Dimensions are expressed in millimetres (inch).
Unless otherwise specified, the following tolerances are applicable:
— linear dimensions ±0,13mm (±0.0050 inch);
— angular tolerances ±0 degrees° 30 minutes’;
— break edges 0.08 mm to 0,38 mm (0.003 0 Inch to 0.0 15 0 inch).
3.2 Material, heat and surface treatment
The ni terial, heat and surface trt.itment shall be In accordance with Table 1.
3.3 Surface texture
3.3.1 General
Surface texture shall be in accordance with ISO 4287.
Symbols shall be in accordance with Iso 1302.
3.3.2 Surface roughness
Unless otherwise specified, the following surface roughness Is applicable:
— machined surlaces shall be 3.175 m (125 iiin) Ramax;
— sealing surface shall be 1,6 urn (63 iiin) Ramax.
3.4 Sealing areas
Sealing surfaces shall have no visible defects.
3.5 Installation
Fitting assembly shall be installed according to EN 4835 (equivalent to AS5551).
4 Quality assurance
Responsibility for Inspection
Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for carrying out all inspections as required in this standard and qualification tests in accordance with the requirements of EN 9133 and EN 4832.
The manufacturer’s operations shall be an approved production organisatlon for aerospace products and shall demonstrate that it has implemented and is able to maintain a quality system (e.g. according to EN 9100 or another in aerospace accepted and established quality management system).
Unless otherwise specified, the supplier may use his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the procuring activity. The purchaser reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set out in the procurement specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure that supplies and services conform to specified requirements.BS/EN 4836-2018 pdf download.
