EN 2064-1992 pdf download.Aerospace series — Bearings spherical plain in corrosion resisting steel with self lubricating liner — Technical specification.
A void is an area where the adhesive bond breaks. sernrating the liner from the metallic substrate and leaving a smooth and clean space. where the bond has not adhered.
In the event of the liner being able to be removed without chipping. scraping or abrasive techniques. the portions of the liner which cannot be removed should he considered as having been properly bonded and free of voids.
7.4.4 Static test on performance at low temperature
The bearing shall be subjected to a temperature of(— 55 ± 2)°CforfourhouxsThestartingwrqueat zero shall be measured in the conditions specified in 7.5.7.
This measurement shall be performed immediately after the test. The starting torque recorded shall not exceed twice the maximum values specified in the dimensional standards.
7.4.5 Test on resistance to thermal shock The bearing shall be subjected to 10 successive testii, each test comprising a iwriod of one hour at (— 55 * 2) °C, followed by one hour at (150 2) C. Four hours after this series of tests, the ttarting torque at zero load measured in the conditions specified in 7.5.7 shall comply with the values specified in Table 1.
7.5 Mechankal te%ts
7.5.1 Manual test on functioning
The rotational and rocking quality of the bearings shall be tested.
Any bearingi reveahng friction poInts ,4hnll be con, iidcrcd an unnatanfactory.
7.5.2 Test on performance when subjected to the prrminsibk statu radial load (, The bearing ihaIl be mounted on a tent device (see Fgure 1). with a maximum clearance of 0.025 mm between the bearing and its housing and between the bearing and the shaft. A preload equivalent to 5 % o( the permissible static radial load C’,, specified in the dimensional standards, shall 1w applied radially tii the outer ring for three minutes, and the comparator then set at zero.
The static radial load shall then be incri’aed gradually (1 % per second) up to the permissible static radial load value C, at which it shall be maintained for three minutes.
The maximum total deformation of the bearing, when subjected to this load, shall not exceed the values spreiried in Table 2.
The load shall then be gradually reduced (1 % per second) to the value of the initial pre•load. The value indicated on the comparator, which is a measurement of the residual deformigion, shall not exceed the values specified in Table 3.
The test shall be repeated after the outer ring has been rotated through 180°.
7.5.3 Tent on performance u’hen subjected to the ultimate static radial load
After the load C. has been evaluated, the load shall 1w Increased gradually (1 % per second), until a load of 1.5 C has been reached. The bearing shall not reveal any crack, split portion or separation of its constituent elements after this test.
7.5.4 Test on performance when subjected to the permissible static axial load C1
The bearing shall be fitted to a test device (see Figure 2). with a maximum clearance 010.025 mm between the outer ring of the beanng and its housing.
A pre.loid equtvalent to 5% of the permissible static axial load C1 specified in the dimensional staiidards shall be applied axially to the inner ring for three minutes with the comparator set at rero.
The static axial load shall then be increased gradually (I % per second) up to the permissible static axial load value C, at which it shall be maintained for 3 minutes.
The load shaLl then be gradually reduced (1 % per second) to the initial pre-load value. The value indicated on the comparator, which Is a measure of the residual deformation, shall not exceed the values specified in Table 3.
The test shall be repeated after the bearing has been turned, to rest upon the other face.
7.5.5 Tent performance when subjected to the ultimate static axial load
After the load C, has been evaluated, the load shall 1w increased gradually (I % per second), until a load o( 1.5 C, has been reached. The bearing shall 1w inspected after this test to ensure that there are no cracked or split portions or any separation of its constituent components.
7.5.6 Tent performance when subjected to the permissible dynamic radial load during oscillation
7.5.6.1 Dynamic lest at ambient temperature The bearing shall be fitted to a test device (see Figure 3). The inner ring shall 1w mounted on a spigot, with which it forms an integral whole before being subjected to an oscillation o(± 250 (total amplitude 5(f) at the rate of 10 cycles/minute. The permissible dynamic radial load recorded in the dimensional standards is applied to the outer ring through a mounting in which it is lorated.
This load shall be applied statically for 15 minutes. Afler this period has elapsed, the permissible dynamic radial toad shall be applied for 25 000 cycles (one cycle comprises displacements of 0 to 25°, then from 250 to – 25° and from – 25° to 0).EN 2064-1992 pdf download.
