1.1 The word“methoxyfenozide” (pro- nounced me-‘thak-se-‘fen-6-‘zid) has been . accepted as the American National Standard Common Name for the chemical 3-methoxy-2= methylbenzoic acid 2-(3,5-dimethylbenzoyl)= -2-(1,1-dimethylethyI)hydrazide.
