The profile of these threads is identical with that of the parallel thread specified in ISO 7-1. The intemal and external threads covered by this part of ISO 228 are both parallel.
Unless otherwise specified the thread in accordance with this part of ISO 228 is a right-hand thread. (See also clause 5.)
