1. Regarding UL’s June 25, 2004 proposal bulletin, UL’s response to comments received to theproposed requirements for:
a.Throw blankets;
b. Connector Flexing Test;
c. Pull Out Test; and
d. Instruction Manual.
2. Amended in light of the comments received, proposed new/revised UL 964 requirements for:
a. Throw blankets;
b. Connector Flexing Test; and
c.Instruction Manual.COMMENTS DUE: January 17,2005
The attached comment matrix in Appendix A provides UL’s response to the comments received on theproposed changes in the UL 964 proposal bulletin dated June 25, 2004. The comments were due to theProject Manager by July 26, 2004. The matrix contains all of the comments that were received.Appendix B contains the proposed new/revised UL 964 requirements that have been amended in lightof the comments received and also unaffected proposals from the June 25, 2004 UL 964 proposal
bulletin.
The six month effective date specified for some of the proposals in the bulletin dated June 25, 2004 hasbeen changed to a twelve month effective date. Please see Appendix C for more information.
if you wish to comment regarding UL’s dispositions/actions in Appendix A or the proposed changes inAppendix B, please respond to us in writing by January 17, 2005.
Based on the comments received in response to this proposal bulletin, UL lans to adopt the revisedversion of UL 964.
